You want to look for Value when you bet. Avoid Favourites that have been overbet by the public. An example of this would be to avoid betting on England with english bookmakers because the price offered is directly influenced by too many english people betting on them. The price is always wrong. You should look for odds that are wrongly priced by the Bookies. This is easier said than done but can be achieved if you put the effort in. For the world cup you could use a very simple method of assessing a teams strength by looking at how many “World Class Footballers” the team has and awarding a simple points for players system. Bet on the team with the most points. Simple but this can work.
