Question by Grey Wind: Does gambling always have to include chance?
Consider: I wager to my friend that I can beat him in a 100m sprint. This is a physical test of strength with little to no chance involved. Is it still considered gambling since we’re both wagering money in order to earn more money in return?
I understand that I could just look up a definition, but I have seen multiple definitions, some including the term “chance,” and others not.

yes, that’s why i called it a gamble

if u know your going to win this race, it’s no longer called a gamble, its called daylight robbery, either that or a gift from him to you, to gamble is to ‘take a chance on something’
