Question by Phoenix: How to contact people who are in office pools / betting pools?
I’m interested in recruiting people from betting pools or office pools for a gambling study. I can’t figure out how to get in touch with these people, especially if they don’t gamble in any other way. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just contact a few tens of thousands of office workers via e-mail.
Let them know you’re doing a study, and make sure the first question is, “Are you involved in an office pool?” Be clear that you are not in any way affiliated with that company, and you’re not going to rat them out!
Another option would be to actually contact the company directly. Let them know about your study. Let them know that you will be happy to share the final results of your study with the company, of course not including any employee names. The company might actually appreciate the information. They could use the data to study their own productivity.
