Question by < What do casinos and gambling represent in literature?
Obviously, gambling can represent someone taking a chance, especially in a life-or-death situation, but what else can gambling (and especially casinos) represent in literature?

For those of you who are interested, i am trying to determine why Tennessee Williams chose to use the casino as the place for Blanche’s husband to committ suicide in A Streetcar Named Desire.
