Question by : Why is gambling immoral and illegal until States run out of money and then revise their laws?
How come for most of history gambling has been illegal in most states except for Nevada, and in the 1970s in New Jersey. But now other states have changed their “moral” views and now gambling is being legalized in more and more states, even many that previously insisted gambling has a detrimental effect of society. But now all they talk about is how it can boost the tourism industry.
Does this prove that money can influence political decisions?

First off, of course “money can influence political decisions.” It can also influence elections and money can certainly send a herd of lobbyists to Washington.
I think we can agree on those assertions – so why would gambling casinos be any different?
