Question by Knight: In NJ, is under aged gambling considered the person to be convicted of a crime or misdemenor?
I have a friend that was caught under aged gambling and went to court. She had to pay a fine and got her license suspended for 6 months. Is my friend convicted of a crime or misdemenor? Or anything lesser? My friend wants to know because she is going to apply for jobs, and wants to know if she has to let them know if she was convicted of a crime.

Your friend should check into it. They must of had a private lawyer or a public defender. Yes they were convicted of a crime , the question, “is it a felony or a misdemeanor?
